garden update: spring has sprung

I did a quick photo update of my garden today. We went to Pennsylvania over the weekend and came back to lots of green.

Barb is a mom to 5 kids (4 boys and 1 girl), wife to a wonderful Engineer, a dog mom to a Bernese Mountain dog, and an English lab.

This is her second blog, and a way to get back into simply writing and sharing her creative endeavors including photography and house renovations.

Until August 2021, she had lived all her life in Pennsylvania, meeting her husband there and raising their kids in a town outside of Philly. They moved to Central Virginia in August 2021 for a new job for her husband.

Part of the reason why they moved and why she decided to resume blogging was losing their middle son, John, to suicide just a week before the Covid quarantine started in March 2020. To say they were blindsided by his suicide barely touches on the profound loss they, his teachers, friends, and family suffered when John made his decision.

Today, all of us look through a lens defined by losing John. Her blog will share snapshots using that lens.
