growing parsley inside

Believe it or not, my green thumb for vegetables and herbs is an outside one more often than not. I tried growing tomatoes inside this winter and didn’t do too well. I’ve tried growing basil, lettuce, and rosemary inside in the past without much success. However, I have been successful growing parsley.

I started the plants in smaller pots using regular potting soil. Once they were big enough, I moved them to yogurt containers. It was easier to poke holes in the store-brand containers than the other ones. The tray on the right came from The Dollar Tree; the one on the left came from an Aldi’s chicken package.

Ideally, I should divide these into more pots. Given my current time constraints and focus on seed starting for the spring, I’ll wait a month before dividing the pots. I think I’ll split them between inside pots and a spot in the vegetable garden.
