A few weeks ago, I attended the Extension Master Gardeners of the Central Rappahannok Area Living in the Garden Symposium in Falmouth, VA. Given that Falmouth is about 3 hours from where I live, it was an all-day experience.
Since this post is photo-centric, I’ll keep the writing short. We heard 3 speakers, one of whom spoke twice. The main focus was on home gardening amid climate disruption. I came home with lots of notes, an email for a new friend, and 2 new gardening books from author/speaker Jenny Rose Carey. I also came home inspired to plant as much as possible – seeds, rooted cuttings, and divided plants. Given that my zone is now 7b, I was also encouraged to experiment with zone 8 plants.
