fall and halloween decor

Before I start Advent/Christmas decorating after Christ the King on November 20th, I’m sharing some of my fall and Halloween decorations. Most of the items were purchased on sale, on clearance, or at a thrift store. I find sticking to this habit of buying keeps me focused on buying what I’ll truly need or use, rather than filling my cart with stuff. I also try not to grab a cart when shopping to prevent myself from picking up too much.

Some of my glass pumpkin collection. The middle one is from the Corning Museum of Glass.
I found these fun Halloween prints online many, many years ago and put them in small frames I found on clearance at Bed, Bath and Beyond. The brown glass cylinders came from Michaels Craft store, also many years ago.
I found the metal pumpkins this fall at the Dollar Tree! They’re on wooden stands.
The pumpkins tucked in the glass bowl came from Michaels. The bowl itself is a recent thrift store find.
I think these cute wire pumpkins are a Target Dollar Spot find from last year.
These cuties came from Michaels Craft store many years ago. I thrifted the glass vase years ago and use it year-round.
More of those Halloween prints! In the back is a vase I thrifted filled with fake leaves I bought on sale last year.
My happy friend on the right came from Linvilla Orchards, a place we would visit every year when living in Pennsylvania. I bought the glass pumpkin on clearance last fall at Bed Bath and Beyond.
The centerpiece over our mantel is a painting my daughter did in school. On the mantel itself, I displayed more of my glass pumpkin collection and fall decor. I also displayed one of my favorite photos of my middle son, John, playing in the leaves outside their Catholic school in Pennsylvania.
And finally, here are our new bookshelves! We waited over 9 months for these to arrive; they were made by a Mennonite carpenter. I look forward to filling the shelves with lots of books!
